About practical couples therapy

What to Expect from the Process

Couples therapy with me begins by getting to know you and your relationship. We start with a joint session where we explore your experiences, challenges, and hopes for the process. After that, I meet with each of you individually to better understand your personal perspectives and needs.

Based on these initial conversations, I tailor a process that fits your unique situation and the areas you want to strengthen. Maybe you're longing to feel more understood. Maybe you miss feeling like you're on the same team. Or perhaps emotional safety and closeness have faded in the busyness of everyday life. Together, we focus on rebuilding understanding, restoring a sense of safety, and nurturing the friendship at the heart of your relationship.

Throughout the process, you'll receive simple, practical tools and exercises – tools that become part of your shared "backpack," ready to be used again and again whenever you need them.

Importantly, the real change doesn't happen in the therapy room alone – it happens between the sessions. In the way you speak to each other. In how you repair after conflict. In the small moments where you turn toward each other instead of away.

There is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some couples need just a few sessions, others choose a longer and deeper journey. No matter the length or pace, the goal is the same: to help you reconnect with each other through more presence, cooperation, and warmth.

All sessions are held online via Teams, so the therapy can fit into your everyday life – no matter where you are.
